The Monaro earned its legendary status through its outstanding performance in the traditional Bathurst Racing Series in the 60’s and 70’s. These cars were the precursor to the V8 Super Cars we see today.
The first Monaro rolled off the production lines in 1968 with the HK Monaro. (Wheels Car of the Year) and finished in 1979 with the HZ 4 Door.
The sleek lines, sporty performance and race heritage give them an appeal any car lover must admire. Even today the Monaro heritage and name lives on with Holden reviving the marque in the last few years due to overwhelming public demand.
